Ahoy!
I am Adam, K4SPB, and this is my first blog post. I’ve needed a place to collect and share my projects for a while now. I’d like to share what I experiment with and develop with the world. Hopefully, if you are reading this, you found something interesting or helpful. If so, leave a comment.
I built this blog in a container on my Proxmox server using the Proxmox LXC helper scripts. It runs on my Dell R720XD using default settings. Link below:

This blog is going to be heavily focused on amateur radio projects. My callsign is K4SPB. The suffix SPB comes from an old standup bit by T-Rex called Spooby. Check it out if you need a laugh.
I installed this container while local amateur radio operators (AKA hams) were doing an exercise called a simulated emergency test by using simplex only. Net control called for checkins and anyone who could hear him gave their call and location. I couldn’t hear net control at all and he is only 6 miles from me. I could hear people up to approx. 2 miles but that’s pretty bad for my setup. My antenna is at least 20 feet above ground level (AGL) in my attic but apparently it leaves something to be desired.
Thanks for stopping by!
